BEYOND EDEN plays a unique fusion of musical styles, incorporating rock,
reggae, hip-hop, and disco with traditional Jewish content. Songs are both in Hebrew and
English. The band's live shows are high-energy and intense, with a pulsating groove,
designed to keep audiences on their feet and dancing.
The band was founded in 2002 and consists of Chayim Newman (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar),
Jono Landon (Drums), Mark Weinstock (Rhythm Guitar, Mandolin, Flute, Vocals), Marc Shapiro
(Bass, Beatbox), Avital Zemer (Lead Guitar, Vocals) & David Austin (Keys, Vocals).
BeyondEDEN represents diversity, with each member coming from a different background,
both musically and spiritually.
In their time together, Beyond EDEN has performed at many clubs, theatres, as well as outdoor
shows; playing for crowds ranging from 150 to 1500, appealing to audiences of all ages and
religious backgrounds.
Members of the band have shared the stage with diverse musicians such as Norah Jones (NYC),
Reva L'sheva (Israel), Moshav Band (Israel), David Broza (Israel),
John Sebastian (of the Lovin' Spoonful), Derek Carter (Chicago),
Mark Farina (San Francisco) & DJ Sneak (Chicago).
